I use the latest version of nsis 2.46, with modern user interface, I have a section, where I install the newest vcredist_x86.exe, nevertheless what I use (Exec or ExecWait or if I run nsexec::Exec and run a batch file for starting vcredist_x86.exe), my installer crashes after launching vcredist_x86.exe I start the redistibutable exe like this: Exec '$INSTDIR vcredist_x86.exe' /q' I install in the WinSxS folder the version 9.0. Runtime-Dlls for CRT, MFC, ATL and so on. I tried also ExecWait, or MUI_PAGE_FINISH_RUN, but it is the same, everything I tried crashes. I don't want 2 different installations, so I hope that this bug will be fixed in a newer version of NSIS. Please include crash details.

There is no reason an external process will cause our process to crash. I also tested with commando interpreter cmd, that DLLRegisterServer ist correctly working on the machine, regsvr32.exe is definitive correctly working on that machine!
